The big day...

Eric's long-anticipated first day of school has finally come! He was dressed and had his chores done by 6:30 this morning and then proceeded to drive the rest of us crazy until it was time to leave! He had very specific orders for his lunch: tuna sandwhich, tortilla chips with guacamame (a dip I make with edamame), grapes, and a homemade granola bar. When I dropped him off, he didn't even hesitate. We had his orientation yesterday and he is really excited about his new school and new experiences. We are so grateful for the opportunity he's been given and know it will be such a blessing for all of us! Now I just have to get used to having him 8 miles away all day long instead of right around the corner! :)

OK, we have excitement, but NEVER that much to have chores done by 6:30. I'm questioning the whole chores in the morning thing now. They just might have to wait until after school.

Congrats and good luck with the 8 miles.

How cute! He has been so funny this last week, we have been going on walks and every morning he is sitting in the window just staring outside! I think he was day dreaming about going to his new school! :-)
