a perfect ending...

The perfect way to end a fun-filled week? The fathers and sons camp-out! They only let me take one picture as they were getting ready. I wish I could have taken an "after" picture too. They came home tired and dirty, but Eric had so many exciting things to tell me along with a collection of bullet casing he collected from the camp site. Boys will be boys!

What to do with a house full of girls? Play with make-up.

"don't my lips look sparkly, mom?"

Kickin' back in my panties and sunglasses with a good book! This is the life!

Movin' on up...

at the school dance festival (they "danced" to "Splish Splash")

Kindergarten Graduation

With his teacher, Mrs. Peck
That's right folks. After a great week of fun at school, Eric is now a first grader! This year will bring many changes for him (and the rest of us), but I know he's ready for it! We love our big boy!

it's beginning to look a lot like....

SUMMER!
These are from Emilie's last day of school picnic. She and Lydie had too much fun making the pine cone bird feeders. I'm not sure if they left any peanut butter for any of the other kids! When we got home we hung them on the back porch (Eric made one too) and the next night it poured rain and washed most of the peanut butter and seeds away. Since it rained at night the kids didn't realize that was why there were so many seeds missing. It was so cute listening to them as they tried to decide which feeder the birds liked best.:)

this is the life...

Hanging out with cousins all day... playing, swmming, eating out...what could be better? We had so much fun on our trip to California. Thank you to my step-brother Nathan and his sweet wife, Carrie for so kindly opening their home to us. We love you guys!

almost heaven

we had a GREAT day at the beach with our cousins. The weather was perfect. The kids wish we could live at the beach (I wouldn't mind too much either!).

Further Inspiration...

We began our Mother's Day celebration a little early this year. 10 years ago my beautiful mother finished her final treatment for breast cancer. She has been cancer-free ever since and we are so grateful for her in our life! We celebrated her big milestone yesterday by cheering her on as she ran in the race for the cure. What an inspiration she is to all of us. We love you, Mom! Happy Mother's Day!

Inspirational...

What a great way to start a birthday! Roland ran in the Race for the Cure this morning with my mom. They finished in 28 minutes! He is such an inspiration to me and I'm so glad he was born on this day 32 years ago! Happy Birthday Roland. I love you!

p.s. much more race inspiration from the race to follow!

Life is good...

Emilie at the Dentist for a preschool field trip. She later told me that she LOVES the dentist!

My sister got married last weekend and I am still waiting for the pics. These are from the following Sunday, but they have their "wedding clothes" on.

Lydie is IN LOVE with her pink shoes that we got for her to wear at the wedding.

Isn't life great?! Never seems to slow down. Our trip to California next week is just what we need around here! Bring it on! :)
