It's coming....

I just love this time of year when we start counting our blessings and focusing on the Savior. I love the peace and kindness that seem to spread over people's hearts and the special spirit that can be felt. And I love, love, love the music!

What do you love about this time of year?

Hey, I have that photo of Christ on mine too! Great moms think alike!!! Here is my list of what I love: Christmas lights, fresh Christmas trees, my Mom's Christmas treats, Temple Square, snow, the Spirit of Christmas, traditions, I could go on for HOURS! Thanks for the sweet phone call today and for remembering about Oak. You are such a great friend, I am lucky to know you. Love you!

I love EVERYTHING about it. I can even say I love the cold. I love how much more time we seem to find to spend together as a family, I love sipping hot chocolate together on a cold morning or after being outside playing in the snow, and I love seeing the lights pop up on the houses at night. I love the excitement that rises in the hearts of my kids for Christmas day and the sweet Primary Christmas songs. I love watching the snow fall and stick to the ground and trees, and I love the anticipation of Christmas morning.

I love thinking about all the wonderful Christmases gone by... they are some of my most cherished memories. I love focusing on the birth, ministry and life of the Savior. I simply love being with my family and carrying on with all the fun traditions we have established! And yes... the music.

I especially love the special spirit that is brought by the holiday season. Each year I try to simplify things a little more. I sometimes feel bad for scratching things off my list that I enjoy doing during the holiday season, but the more that I clear off the list the more I seem to be able to pay attention to the Christmas spirit.
